Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LimeNote, the website at limenote.org and the related applications and services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Hellovelop Inc. ("Hellovelop", "we", "us"), a company registered in the Republic of Korea.
- Business registration number: 777-88-03804
- Representative: KilHyun Kim
- Address: 344, Wonjeok-ro, Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, Republic of Korea
- Email: [email protected]
2. The Service
LimeNote turns meeting audio into written notes. You record a meeting in the browser or upload an audio file; the Service transcribes the audio with speech-to-text technology and generates meeting notes, summaries and related documents from the transcript using AI language models. You can review, edit, share and download the results.
AI-generated transcripts and notes can contain mistakes, omissions or misattributions. They are provided as a starting point, not as an authoritative record. Review the output before relying on it or sharing it.
3. Accounts
- You sign in with a Google account. Keep your Google credentials secure; you are responsible for all activity that happens under your LimeNote account.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to purchase a paid plan.
- We may decline, limit or close registrations, for example while access is restricted to approved email addresses.
- Provide accurate information and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Plans, credits and billing
Use of the Service is measured in credits. One credit covers about one hour of audio. We offer the following paid options, priced in US dollars:
- Starter: $9/mo, 18 credits/mo — 18 hours of recording.
- Pro: $19/mo, 53 credits/mo — 53 hours of recording.
- Business: $99/mo, 303 credits/mo — 303 hours of recording.
- Credit top-up: $15 for a one-time pack of 10 credits.
- Subscriptions renew automatically every month. Your payment method is charged at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
- Subscription credits reset each billing period. Unused subscription credits do not roll over to the next period.
- Top-up credits never expire while your account exists. Subscription credits are used before top-up credits.
- Cancelling. You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, after which it is not renewed and any remaining subscription credits expire. Top-up credits are not affected. We do not offer prorated refunds for the unused part of a period, except as described in our Refund Policy.
- Changing plans. You can change your plan from Settings. Downgrades take effect from your next billing period; upgrades are applied as shown when you confirm the change.
- Prices and taxes. Prices shown on the Service exclude any applicable sales tax or VAT, which is calculated and collected at checkout. We may change prices; changes apply from your next billing period and we will notify you in advance.
- Free or promotional credits have no cash value, may be limited or withdrawn, and are not refundable.
5. Payments and our reseller
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
When you buy a subscription or credit pack you also accept Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms. Paddle collects your payment details directly; we never see or store your full card number.
6. Refunds
Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
7. Your content
- You own the recordings, uploaded files, transcripts, notes and other material you submit to or create with the Service ("Your Content").
- You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, process, transcribe, analyse, transmit and display Your Content solely to operate, provide, secure and improve the Service for you, including by sending it to the third-party processors listed in our Privacy Policy. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep to comply with law.
- We do not sell Your Content and we do not use it for advertising.
- You can delete individual recordings at any time. Deleting your account deletes your recordings, transcripts and notes.
- Anyone who has the link to a note you share can view it. You are responsible for who you share links with.
8. Acceptable use
You are responsible for Your Content and for how you use the Service. You must not:
- record, upload or transcribe a conversation without the consent required by the laws that apply to you and to the other participants. Recording laws differ by country and state, and some require every participant's consent. Obtain any consent you need before you record;
- upload content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that you do not have the right to use;
- use the Service to harass, defame, surveil or harm anyone, or to process another person's data in violation of privacy laws;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, disrupt it, circumvent usage limits, or reverse-engineer it;
- resell or provide the Service to third parties, or use automated means to extract data from it;
- use the Service for anything prohibited by our reseller's acceptable use policy.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that we reasonably believe violate this section.
9. Changes to the Service; suspension and termination
- We may add, change or discontinue features of the Service. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and refund any prepaid fees for the period after the shutdown.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users.
- You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that transcripts or notes will be accurate or complete.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer, you may also be entitled to the protection of mandatory consumer laws, and to bring proceedings in the courts, of the country where you live.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and change the "Last updated" date. For material changes we will also notify you by email or in the Service before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
